Hitchhiker's Guide to B-schooling (Part II)

Aeons ago, in a time far far away, a friend sent me this poem.
As is usually lyrical and cynical, the friend's gone but the words remain.
Aeons ago, in an age of foolishness and reason, i used to put poems on this blog.
As is usually mellow and dramatic, i stopped it when the music died.

I doubt if the poet ever knew what a B-school was, or maybe he is better of with just elemental problems, this one strikes true at the heart of the matter - The Gordon Gecko Situation. So read it, if you are a true-blue B-schooler, who wants to fib his way to the pot of the gold.

The poem's called "The Spell of the Yukon" - Robert Service.

You Come to get rich(damned good reason),
You feel like an exile at first,
You hate it like hell for a season,
And then you are worse than the worst.
It grips you like some kinds of sinning,
It twists you from a foe to a friend,
It seems its been since the beginning,
It seems it will be to the end

And while you might find, what you are looking for, it might turn out that

I wanted the gold and i sought it,
I scrabbed and mucked like a slave,
was it famine or scurvy - i fought it,
I hurled my youth into a grave.
I wanted the gold and i got it,
Came out with a fortune last fall,
But somehow life is not wat i thought it,
And somehow the GOLD isnt all

	Supervish March 17, 2007 05:25 AM PDT The problem quinty, is the baggage. As a bschooler, you carry baggage - and the bigger the brand of you bschool, the heavier it is. I think I'm just gonna toss my suitcases overboard and be normal again.


	April 2005 March 8, 2007 02:59 AM PST I dnt know wat made me come here today after ages... I just had a thought as if Reiki guided me..and I saw something here... Yes! The Gold isnt all....not at all. The sooner we realise it .the better!
